This calorie calculation formula uses the very reliable. Katch-McArdle calorie calculating formula which is very reliable among fitness trainers and athletes. It calculates your BMR and uses your level of activity to calculate TDEE. Lean body mass is required which is automatically calculated for you using your body fat percentage. If the body fat percentage is not entered, the form automatically uses the Harris-Benedict Equation, which is gender dependent and relies on height, weight and age. It's not quite as accurate as Katch-McArdle but it's a reliable alternative if you're not able to measure body fat.
